If you go to the Dialect
component (https://hosted.weblate.org/projects/dialect/dialect/), and you go to the Start new translation
button at the bottom, you will get a sightly different UI that let's you select en_GB
:
That's the page I'm on. It doesn't offer me en_GB. A note on the page reads: This list includes only basic languages. Please contact project maintainers to add others.
So i believe you need to use your more capable version of the form to add dialects of modern English. Old and Middle English are not dialects of 'en'.
Just added the translation for British English: https://hosted.weblate.org/projects/dialect/dialect/en_GB/
Thanks! I have translated the word that I noticed, and will continue working through the other strings, bashing the "copy" button, at some later point.
I noticed the word “Behavior” in the preferences dialog, and would like to contribute a British English translation to add the letter “u”.
However when I browse to https://hosted.weblate.org/projects/dialect/#languages and attempt to add a British English translation, I see:
There are substantially more speakers of British English than there are of Middle English or Old English!
