Bibliography #387

As an end user, how can I search the Bibliography? Am I missing something obvious?

juliacmcf commented 5 years ago

While on the subject, did I mention elsewhere how useful it would be to be able to export bibliographic citations to BibTex/RIS/Zotero etc.? I bet that would be a heck of a job to add!

Just a note on a bug when creating new bibliography entries. If there are multiple authors or editors these MUST have a specific order number assigned (not just '1' for each) or the entire entry gets scrambled on display (author missing, journal information missing). However, existing entries that have 2 or more authors/editors seem to display fine.

Didn't we have a 'merge entries' function on bibliography items? I have found a few duplicates (which don't really matter, but it would tidy things up to merge them).

Drat -- I filled in ALL the boxes on this one (all of these items are newly created), but still two have turned up without authors.

If I go back in and re-save (without doing any edits) this seems to fix it.

I wouldn’t worry too much about this. It can be fixed with a reindex so the data is still there

juliacmcf commented 5 years ago

It's not just the author names that don't appear. Sometimes the names are there but other data is missing (like place of publication). I'm not particularly worried, per se, but hope it's not indicative of a deeper issue.

I've just added page numbers to one of the books (this is done in the source editing view) but the numbers are not showing up. This is the first time I've done this, so there may be something broken.
