I recently installed Virtual-Display-Linux, now, as I plug the seccond display; nothing happens.

Experienced the same problem. To undo this you have to remove the 20-intel.conf file. Navigate to this directory "/usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d/20-intel.conf" then "sudo -rf 20-intell.conf" then reboot.
