Unable to calibrate mouse (HTC Desire Z) / (HTC G2) #61

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. run through calibration in the application
2. load a game with mouse support
3. try moving cursor

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I would expect where I touch on the screen, that the cursor would appear there
and / or click

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
android 2.3 and adosbox 0.2.5

Please provide any additional information below.

Initially the mouse worked, when first installed, but it wasn't true 1:1
movement, I don't know if this is possible?
Since trying to re-calibrate the mouse I have messed it up to the point where
the cursor will no longer move

I cleared the application data and started it up again, to get the initial
configuration screen.

selected 'additional controls to use' unchecked on-screen keyboard
selected 'what kind of nav keys does your device have?' shose arrows/dpad
hit ok

loaded the game again and i get the mouse working, but again not 1:1 movement.
Any change to the acceleration speed or relative movement speed breaks the
mouse movement, as does disabling laptop mode

what exactly is laptop mode?
when calibrating the touchscreen, are you supposed to touch the four corners or
the top-middle bottom-middle left-middle right-middle? the information isn't
clear.
Is 1:1 mouse movement possible?
