I am able to reproduce using the same sequence, see the first post.
I get following results
Expected: 'AHJ', shift enabled
Instead: 'AHj', shift disabled
Is this how it should work? I expect that when I hold the shift it would turn
caps
lock on but that might not be the case...

Since I don't have a device at my hands right now, I need to ask some more dumb
questions:
Have yo noticed I've disabled the long-press for caps-lock feature?
Now, if you want to move to caps-lock, you need to press shift again (there
will be a
special icon now, not like before)

If you truly have disabled the long-pres for caps-lock THEN the program works as
expected (in 20091215_testers)!
Ah the caps-lock icon is very good, makes it clear that caps lock is on.
