Yes, PLEASE do this. We want to be able to click ONE THING to disable all the nsfw tags. Thank you.
I'd also like to see a "show/hide" toggle attached to each graphical element in a post. Some of the graphics take up a lot of vertical page real estate, which can be a nuisance when trying to scroll down to a particular post. If I've already seen someone's #Orwell vs #Huxley infographic, it would be nice to be able to "hide" it in real time the next time I see it, so that I can scroll right past. This also gives ME control over what I want to see or not see, on a post-by-post basis, rather than the standard plug-ins that hide ALL graphics, and it takes care of the issue of posters who either forget or refuse to tag nsfw content appropriately—and, as there's no established standard of what constitutes #NSFW content, different people will have different opinions on whether or not an image is appropriately tagged. Also, a "show/hide" toggle virtually eliminates the whole "censorship" issue, because people can then post whatever content they want, leaving it up to the individual user to decide whether he/she wants to actually _see_ it.
Another concern is that with the problem of clicking on "show" and it just brings you back to the top of the page, some people will not use the tag. That also needs to be fixed because people who want to see those posts are getting frustrated, and people who post them don't want others to have to go through so many extra clicks just to see it. From what I've heard, some have left D* and others are just not posting anymore. This is not good for the community as a whole. We need the choice to turn it off and on and the other issue of being returned to the top of the page when clicking "show" fixed. I do think it's an important feature and was truly needed, It is difficult to make everyone happy, but I think that if these 2 things were fixed, then most will be happy.
Thanks for the suggestion. I've edited the title to make it more like our other feature requests and added some tags.
In general we favor settings simplicity over fine-grained control, so I don't think we're going to do this now. Thanks again for the suggestion.
I think this issue should be reopened. I've seen a lot of people on my feed talking about NSFW tags and how something like this would solve most of the problems with it.
Thanks for the feedback. We are working on a feature similar to this - it's in a branch called nsfw. @denniscollective is that slated to be rolled in any time soon?
Users should have the possibility to disable the nsfw-tag-censorship, as said it could be done the settings-menu. I'll work on this in the next days.
some thoughts on this would be great
