I want to be able to report a user
So that users who are offensive, breach site terms, or can cause safeguarding issues can be brought to the attention of the site admins
It is acceptable when...
There is a facility when viewing a user's profile to be able to flag the user for the attention of the admins
Information as to why the user was flagged can be provided in a free multi-line text box
An image or screen-shot can be attached to the report
After flagging the user to admins the user is immediately suspended from the site
After flagging the user the user who flagged the post is advised the user has been flagged for admin attention
The user who was flagged is advised that they have been flagged and temporarily suspended from site while the admins investigate
The admins are immediately informed that a user was flagged (Email / SMS Text? TBC)
Extra Information
There is a risk that a malicious member of the site could post offensive material either as text or images, or content that is in breach of the site's terms and conditions. A member might have been offensive in messages for instance. There needs to be a mechanism where the user can be flagged and suspended as soon as another user finds them to offensive. The admins will then be able to review the user and if they agree the user's behaviour is not acceptable keep the user suspended, message the user, ban or delete the user. These would be separate work items.
