• Terms are merged in ontologies.
• When the terms are merged, the additional terms become synonyms of a primary term.
• The data requires to be updated where the synonym is changed to the primary term.
• There are a fews cases where this has not happend in cases of ontologies like dicty_phenotypes, dicty_environment & dicty_assay
