Does not run initial-setup tasks #1

Just tried this snap out. It does succeed in installing, but it does not launch the tvheadend setup/initial-configuration program afterward, so you don't get a working installation.

I'm not sure what you mean by "setup/initial configuration program". The daemon should be started automatically on installation. All you need to do is open your browser and point it at http://localhost:9981/. The initial configuration AFAIK is all performed in a browser, and so there is no configuration program.

I mean the step where you set up an admin username/pwd which you need to access the web configuration interface.

And, FYI, I am not running this on localhost, but on a headless machine, which means that the web UI needs to be accessible from other addresses (and it currently isn't...).

There is no separate configuration program. It's all done through the browser interface, which should be accessible after installation.

It works for me. Which server platform are you using? Did you possibly enable an application firewall on the desktop client, or the server? Are you sure you typed the server address and port number correctly? Did you confirm that the snap service is running? I can think of few reasons why it would not work.

The first time you access the web interface, the setup wizard should be presented. In the setup wizard, you create your own admin & user accounts. You can modify the various privileges of these accounts later, if needed. When the setup wizard is complete, future web sessions will require a login. If you accidentally cancelled the setup wizard, it can be run again through the menu system. However, it should not be run after TV services have been configured, or you might get some unexpected results.

I'm going to close this issue as I think it is working as expected. If this is still a problem either re-open this issue or file a new issue.
