What version of BluezIME are you using?
1.17
What Android device do you have? What Android version?
Nexus 7 / android version 4.2
What gamepad are you using?
iCade (8-bitty)
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Any attempt to connect to any bluetooth device withe bluezIME
2.Devices still pair and work through the OS
3.The notification for "Connecting to: mac address" is immediately followed by
"bt socket connect failed"

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

I am trying to makes my controllers connect, and it looks like bluez is unable
to get control of the bluetooth socket.

Please provide any additional information below.

Usually this happens because Android recognizes your device as a HID (Human
Input Device) and handles the connection. When Bluez-IME connects, the device
has already connected, and refuses the second connection.

In this case, it should all work without Bluez-IME, because Android handles the
connection.
I have heard reports that you can disable the auto-connection somewhere in the
Android settings by long-pressing the paired device and selecting something on
the menu.

Sadly there is no way for me to fix this, because the device needs to be paired
before Android will connect, but once paired, it "hogs" the connection.

Bluez IME was working fine on my Galaxy Nexus until I upgraded to Android 4.2.
Ever since I get the "bt socket connect failed" error. This post
http://boards.openpandora.org/index.php?/topic/10770-how-do-i-connect-icontrolpa
d-with-android-42/
claims that this is due to a switch to the broadcom bluetooth stack in android
4.2.

Did you get it working? I have found that the OS recognizes it as an HID, but
emulators do not recognize it. Any help?

I gave up on getting it to work after a few hours of trying. The snes emulator
that I use supports it natively now.

by android . I tried to download bluez-ime pro to solve the problem but it did
not work.
