Hi, @ankostis! Thanks for your report. The extension relies on the Identity API to work in Firefox. Unfortunately, this API is not yet supported in Firefox for Android. Leaving this open until the Firefox team adds support for this API.
It's strange but i have bypassed this blocking issue in my previous phone, and now that i bought a new one, i stumbled again. And that left me wondering if i had a corrupted recollection of the situation.
But suddenly i managed to login also worth my new phone! Actually i didn't login through the extension, but i loved into hypothes.is site (so the session cookie is established) and then i think the trick is too visit a page where there are already admissions, and have the extension's settings popup by default. Suddenly you are greeted with alogwd in user.
Does this make sense?

Did you try if you can use a different, non-annotated page afterwards? I am having the problem right now, and it doesnt want to work at all on Firefox Nightly for Android.
Unfortunately, it doesn't work anymore! 1 week later it stopped working. I still cannot login, and i do not remember the page that made it work :-(. Any help, appreciated.
Ok, now i know how to login:
INVALID POST ABOVE. What i managed to do is to login using the sidebar of the "via" proxy, but this does not convey to this plugin :-(
I have been able to get hypothes.is on Firefox Android working by using Tampermonkey and this userscript.
Yes, @jck, indeed it works!
Has this been merged somehow in the plugin?
Same problem in Android Firefox Beta

~Is still working? I tried with firefox android nightly it shows a blank right sidebar when I put my finger on annotation.~
Nevermind, the tampermonkey script works fine! Just make sure to disable the other conflicting extensions.
I enable the extension following the instruction and discovered 1 bug and 1 minor issue:
