Okay... :D but no.. its not sarcasm.. seriously I just searching how to using leste in my Droid4 in chroot, since my main problem is no camera in leste. I have dual boot leste and lineage 14, but for using that device as daily driver in leste and need to reboot when you need to capture something urgently, really not practical. After I see your repo and your script my guess I can run it directly into my existing leste in sdcard by modified the ROOT variable path at the top.. (I haven't tried it yet, maybe this weekend).
ps : please just delete this thead, if it out of context.. --regards
I have not installed Leste natively on any of my devices (I only have modern smartphones) and I did not know that the camera in Leste does not work on Droid4. It is true that it could be useful for you to chroot/proot to use Leste and thus be able to continue using the Android camera. My experiments installing Leste with chroot and with proot ( https://github.com/diejuse/proot_MaemoLeste_on_Android ) have been based on an old ARM64 image ( https://maedevu.maemo.org/images/arm64-generic/20200114/ ) for more modern devices (with ARM64). You will have to try it yourself with an ARMHF image... If you try, you can follow the steps that I followed starting from an old image, I would try the one based on the Nokia N950 (https://maedevu.maemo.org/images/n950/20190315/maemo-leste-1.0-armhf-n950-20190315.tar.gz ). I don't know the performance/speed you would get with chroot on an older device like Droid4. It's all about trying...
I have Droid4 running maemo leste, love it. and I think there is nothing as good as Leste for Droid 4. but we still need a working camera.. right? #JustTryThinkingOutofTheBox v^_^
