There is Add product option and it supports expiration date. However, Grocy supports not only expiration date, but also price and store.
I think being focused on consuming and get rid of keyboard/keypad experience would be fine for Grocy-Tablet. But if you decide to use Grocy-Tablet to use for buying and adding product, I think it can be good practice to have these options.
