audio stream interrupted for as much as 10 seconds when external metadata is sent at specified time interval (using 60 sec default) #61

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Basic config: bitrate: 128, samplerate: 44100, encoder type: MP3 Lame,
servertype: SHOUTcast,
2. Metadata: live recording on; external metadata URL supplied; time interval:
60 sec default
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Continuous, uninterrupted audio stream with metadata for songs being played
being displayed in sync with music. Instead, the audio stream as heard from
the output from the audio streaming provider (viastreaming) is interrupted when
the metadata is being retrieved each 60 seconds. However, the output from our
streaming server that feeds viastreaming doesn't have this delay.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system? Which
type (DSP, Fraunhofer DSP, Standalone or ASIO)?

I'm away from the office and server console, but we downloaded edcast using the
edcast-reborn download, Lame_enc, as a Winamp plug-in operating under Windows
7.
