Bake car steering doesnt work and turns the wheels fully 90 degrees to the side

I have the car rig following a path and when i click to animate the car steering, the front two tires just become fully rotated 90 degrees to the side. I cant seem to figure out why this is, when it isn't following a path it works but when it is on a path it doesn't, I am using 3.3 but even if i were to go into 3.1 to bake the animation the same problem occurs
