Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. Syncthing isn't ideal for syncing, as UI is quite complex and automation has proven to be buggy. Something which permites easier, programmatic access to syncing would be ideal.

Describe alternatives you've considered Create in-house p2p syncing solution using Pear/hyper.

Additional context Local-remote sync for backups, or offline-first, eventually online, is an asked feature from many partners. Very useful for making existing apps such as Terrastories offline and cloud based at the same time.

Could also enable great solutions such as offline-first, online eventually: E-Commerce, Blogging, Knwledge bases, networking
