Choose a build system, and get rid of the unchosen one #87

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Try to build with cmake
2. Try to build with automake
3. Get really confused

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected: exactly one of [ cmake, automake ].
Actual: both cmake and automake.

Please flip a coin, pick a build system, and remove the other build system 
completely.
