Hi,

For some reasons I do not understand some .wav files do not appear in Dopamine. What do you need for information to help me or take a look at ?

The music can be downloaded in SoundCloud here : https://soundcloud.com/battlefield_official/sets/battlefield-1-turning-tides-original-soundtrack

Here are the info in MediaInfo image

Thanks in advance, Cocotteseb

I just downloaded all 4 files from soundcloud and they appear fine here. They are in an "Unknown Album" however, because the files are not tagged. Have you looked there?

Sorry for the delay. I've found some tracks in Unknown artist album. I've tagged the tracks but the result is till not here. There is something wrong somewhere. Files tagged uploaded here Log File here On a fresh new database (I've deleted first the old .db file) I still have strange results. Can you help me ? image

hmm i count 7 items in mp3tag and i count 7 items in the dopamine database. and th elog says that 7 items were added. too bad the windows are covering basicly everything of dopamine itself.

did you save the tag changes? did you refresh the database afterwards? was sqlite closed when you checked dopamine again?

instead watching albums looks in the titles tab if there are all 7 songs

btw your link to the files isnt working

Cocotteseb commented 6 years ago

OK. The link to the files is now working. here

"did you save the tag changes?" yes "did you refresh the database afterwards?" yes, in I even delete the database to start from scratch. was sqlite closed when you checked dopamine again? no. tested it again now and same result

Here are the screenshots : image image image image image image image

All the tracks are here, but only one seems to have the correct tag in Dopamine

okay, i did little bit of testing and have come to the conclusion that this is not an bug in dopamine but in taglib. i wrote a few lines outside of dopamine and using taglib alone results in the same error.

until they fix it i have a few possible workarounds

  1. use dopamine instead of mp3tag to tag the songs
  2. reencode the songs to get rid of this bug (possible loss of quality)
  3. get songs from different source

Edit: okay first point is only working temporarily >.< on next start changes are reverted

but i think i got a proper workaround now, but it requires linux. with shntool you can strip a wave-riff file of all unnecessary chunks. after that you can then reapply the tags with mp3tag.

here are the fixed songs: http://www22.zippyshare.com/v/GwHFnXfV/file.html
