FLAC occasional audio skipping #91

Open digimezzo opened 7 years ago

Reported by a user:

I'm using mostly FLAC files and there is sometimes audio skipping, it's not the files because if I rewind and play the same section again it doesn't happen so it's all random.

same here: FLAC can sometimes be stuttery. My music collection is stored on a NAS, and shared over a gigabit cabled network. I think it's a buffering problem, cause when I play FLACs while I'm transferring files the stuttering is massive. When my desktop is idle, there's (almost) no stuttering.

Are there some sample files and some aditional data. Is the file on a NAS system, on the local drive, what kind of system are you using etc.

In my case, I'm reading the FLAC files over a gigabit cabled network from my Synology DS414. My desktop is a Intel Core i5-6600 with Asus Z170M-Plus motherboard (Intel I219-V network chip), 16GB DDR4, 512GB Samsung 850 EVO SSD. OS = Win10

To be tested with Dopamine 1.5, which decodes using FFMpeg.
