Help users get started understanding binary data, e.g. perhaps for understanding how different different disk images are?!
As raised in a PR-SIG, this could also help with the general identification types of content, like 'this looks texty' versus 'ugh, that's high entropy'.
Maybe there are good ideas in https://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Reverse_Engineering/File_Formats ?
Maybe scanning for repeats would help?
