Channel 6 pid tuning stopped working in 2.9 rev289 #43

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Set channel 6 to tune pid rate yaw
2.Set anny start and end value
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
the selected pid value should follow your channel 6 scaled to your preset range.
it sets 0.0000 to 0.1700 so the value seemes fixed on some hardcoded variable.

What version of the MegaPirateNG are you using?
2.9r6 rev289

Please provide any additional information below.
Will test if this is the same on other pids to.

I encountered some strangeness following a PID turning guide until I discovered
since 2.9 there are appears to be 'safety' limits to your channel 6 range and
if you try to set the range to say 0.0000 with the lowest allowed is 0.1000
then it defaults to some hardcoded settings. Might not be that at all but had
me stumped for ages.

Well for me it's impossible to set anny value. And it does not start to ramp up
the value untill you are at 1400 on your radio before that it's 0 and then it
jumps big leaps every so you get only half the tuning range of this strange
0-0.17 and my defaults for tuning usaly is 0.0000 - 0.1000 So there is omething
undoccumented changes or it just stopped working.

Did not test this for r289 but for one two revisions before it was working and
nothing changed here. Check if your starting point is in the middle of limits.
like:

0.1 >> 0.4 << 0.7 where 0.4 if for 1500us for Ch6 and is set as current PID
value.

Sorry hade not had time to test but the values started scaling upp from 0
around 1500ms
What is a later release that is concidered safe to fly without motors disarming
in flight? And other dangerous behaviour.
