Update repository to latest version #3

The repository that was transferred from Gitlab to Github did not include the latest commits.

Transferred was the status where commit eeeb677a was the latest one. The most current commit is 88eba968.

To avoid me messing things up, it would be great if someone could take over updating this who is more fluent in git ;-) @florianziemen @d70-t ?

Including missing commits from old repository on gitlab. Should now be up to date.
