This is the content from the gh-pages branch with the update about the Permit Empty directive applied. This update has been removed from the gh-pages branch.

Just to mention.. there is no pull request for the reversion of gh-pages as I was unable to push the reverts from my fork - git doesn't seem to allow a push of a revert to an upstream repo. It also wouldn't allow me to revert the original pull request - I guess because there have been subsequent changes. The end result was that I just pushed the reversion direct to the gh-pages branch.
