If the Chapter-number and Verse-number of the bibletext is disabled, the verse or chapter:verse could be in the hover tooltip (or appear in another way). This is very beautiful, 'cause it helps when the user wants to habe a Design of a "Reader's Bible". see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tu4t9FKn9M4

Maybe it's better to show when you click - not by hover.

One place for a possible hover or click tooltip could be outside the text - e.g. on the left side. I saw this in a printed bible and that is one possibility to focus on the text, but getting the verse-information. 4958

Another way would be to change the field with the biblepassage. I think this display shows the top bibleverse. If you hover about a passage this field might be perfect for the orientation.
