Version 2.1.1 Issues #658

Describe the bug Not all applications will snap to grid. When they do snap to grid, they remain transparent. I tried turning on Elevation and it still did not work with all applications.

Applications tested that worked: File Explorer, Skype Applications tested that did not work: Chrome

I tried to roll back to v2.1.0 using the MSI installer. Now I am unable to use the application at all. It has disappeared from my taskbar and when trying to reinstall via the exe, I get an error, "There was an error while installing the application. Check the setup log for more information and contact the author". I have copied the log below.

I am also unable to uninstall completely because it says it's missing the update.exe file.

To Reproduce If on v2.1.1, should not be hard to reproduce as the basic functionality of the application is broken.

@bigslick87 The MSI installer should not be used in that manner. It is only for deployments to machines with multiple users. Try using the regular installer; and then removing it from Add/remove programs. The crash in the log happens when it tries to remove MaxTo while it is still in use.

I suggest you reboot your machine before trying to (un)install again. Version 2.1.2 is being readied now, and will likely be available on the website within 1 hour.

I uinstalled, rebooted multiple times and was finally able to clean install 2.1.0. PERFECT.

Shut down my PC last night and it auto-updated to 2.1.2. Everything broken again.

If these issues can't be sorted out, I will have to request a refund.

The fact that the program auto-updates ijn spite of the auto-update checkbox being empty is unacceptable.

I downgraded to 2.01 and blocked the executables, including the update.exe file in the MaxTo directory, from talking to the Internet. Hopefully that will block any unwanted updates until a new version that works is available.

I believe issue #657 is the same as this one (in regards to Chrome not working). Closing this as a duplicate.
