Citrix Workspace not snapping with MaxTo #720

Open nads205 opened 3 years ago

nads205 commented 3 years ago

Citrix Workspace 2009 v20.9.6.34 won't snap

To Reproduce

  1. Install citrix workspace
  2. Connect to a remote workspace
  3. In Preferences > Display select Scale to fit or Adjust size
  4. Resize the window - it doesn't snap to any of the MaxTo regions or double click the menu bar - same result - no snapping. The window scales to the entire screen.

Expected behavior Window should snap to MaxTo regions.

Thank you for creating your first issue. We will get to it as soon as possible. This is an automated message designed to manage your expectations. We will most likely respond to your message during Norwegian business hours. If you should think of any additional information, please feel free to add it as a comment. If you are reporting a bug or incompatibility, make sure you include the versions of MaxTo, Windows and any incompatible program.

Thank you for reporting this. I don't have a remote workspace to test this with, so I don't think it will be possible for me to reproduce this issue.

However, if Citrix Workspace works the way I think it does (by forwarding individual remote windows as seemingly standalone windows locally, and not as a single remote desktop experience), there is nothing we can do on MaxTo's end. If the "windows" don't send out proper window messages, MaxTo cannot hook into it. So the implementation would have to be fixed on Citrix' end. This is however pure speculation at this point.

I have just tested this. My work is set up with a single remote desktop window. I can move it to each region using the Windows+Arrow Keys, with one caveat, in that sometimes it goes into full screen mode. This is the default behaviour when the app is stretched over multiple monitors, which suggests that MaxTo isn't setting the regions quite right. This might be related to the +1 pixel workaround noted elsewhere. Is there an option to switch this off on a per-app basis?
