LUN-225: Handling of missing tts-engine #959

The app has an audio player, which plays the audio of a word, but if there is

a) no audio file provided

b) an alternative solution entered, which never has an audio file

a text-to-speach-engine is used to read out the word.

Some smartphone don't have a tts-engine installed and therefore reading out the word is not working. 

Current behaviour: The user gets prompted a message to install the tts-enigne every time one of the situations above occur.

 

Thoughts of a better solution:

User only gets prompted to install the engine once, afterwords the button is disabled

User only gets prompted to install the engine once, afterwords the button is disabled with a hint on click or something?

 

What other solutions are thinkable? Which give the best user experience?

Maybe you have an tts engine installed? This also only happens if there is no audio file.

I guess this is only a ux question right? Maybe we can upload a video on how it is not working to this ticket to give some context :)

I think on android there is almost always a tts engine installed. Therefore, no worries if you can't reproduce it.
