Currently it's due to how it's implemented on the server side. (As a backlog is really a board, what you are seeing is a search result).
I'll think a possible implementation, but it will not be easy :D

On a project dashboard, could it be possible to manage the card order, like we can do in a column ?
The first card is the last one added in the backlog, but we can not reorder the list.
