Recommended Sessions

Each session page has the ability to showcase up to three different sessions or external links to other Mozilla programs. Ideally these would be set in PreTalx as part of the session information.

Could be

• have a "reccomendations" field in pretalx (like the old links field for facilitators) and pull those through to the Plaza
• ~hidden session pages~
• ~markdown-only field~
• ~external spreadsheet~

Tasks

• [x] Ask Marc to setup the question in pretalx, explain how it will work & discuss how metrics will work
• [x] Pull that question during the pretalx scrape and store on sessions.
  • It should parse out the URLs in there and store those as an array
• [x] Render those URLs on SessionView in one of the slots
• [ ] Hook in to the metrics?

It should be a custom links question in pretalx, need to confirm with Marc to setup

I've created the question for this in PreTalx it's called: Recommended Session Pathways (ID: 2247)

It's a multiline text box, so would we do what we did last year with External Links, and just add a different link to the schedule on a new line?

Yes this field will work the same as the external links was last year. It will find sessions in the URL (from either schedule.mozillafestival.org, mozfest.openlab.dev & mzf.st) and link them up
