This pull request fixes issue #373

Hi Basil, not sure if we want to throw away everything. I'm certainly happy to get rid of the OAI-PMH handler, mostly because this has been integrated with the more specific matterhorn harvester, but we should discuss the mail handler, if that's ok.

IMHO it is worthless to have components in the system that do not provide any value. If, at some point, we want to implement such a mail based content bridge, we could easily take the version which was part of all the recent releases and start from their.
