Chad to try and reproduce. Nat could not reproduce. It's possible that it has to do with the student's browser on that workstation. Chad had also tried on that same workstation and had problems creating the annotation.
Chad mentioned that when the student was trying to create the annotation box, the cursor was hovering over a part of an image, but it wasn't creating the box. Possibly the box was being created but it was displaced above.
was able to reproduce issue using Edge and Internet Explorer, two browsers we do not support. Issue needs to be documented, say that we can support viewing but not editing in IE
related: https://github.com/digitalutsc/islandora_web_annotations/issues/235
description: on feb 14 students went in and created annotations, in the marriage in context collection, for an example image see http://hogarth.digitalscholarship.utsc.utoronto.ca/islandora/object/hogarth%3A130. one student, ZO, was experiencing issues with creating annotations. the student went in to create an annotation, drew the square, went in and added text, clicked save, and the boxes started disappearing. the student kept creating boxes and they kept disappearing, but saw the annotation text in the bottom. finally when the box stayed after it was saved, the student moved on to create new different annotations.
problem: annotations when they are being created are appearing out of screen, similar to the previous issue. they are not being saved on the image, rather above the image out of view. the issue was only happening to one student, only in plates 5 and 6: http://hogarth.digitalscholarship.utsc.utoronto.ca/islandora/object/hogarth%3Amarriage
steps to reproduce: difficult to reproduce, not consistent
using windows, either chrome or firefox browser
