Uh, actually, this might not work on OS X. Since it'd still be one arg. The list may need to be constructed differently.

hm, yeah, I'm almost certain this will end badly. will update pull request.

Okay, force pushed a new thing that just uses explicitly different code-paths to build different list configurations since we're bypassing shell parsing. I think this should work now, but it's obviously advisable to try this out on an OS X machine first.
