Tray icon showing status #233

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
It would be nice to have the tray icon showing curent status of the client.
Here is my proposal what states can be shown (and possible icon colour):
1. No connection to daemon (grey)
2. Seeding only (red)
3. downloading only (green)
4. seeding and downloading (yellow)
5. no transfer (blue)

this way we can see status without opening window

well, if you want red for errors - then here is my next suggestion:
red - no connection to server (isn't it the error you mentioned? or we have
other
errors to report?)
grey - connected, but no activity
blue - seeding
yellow - leeching
green - seeding and leeching.

and what for you want to make this option wit possibility to deactivate it? at
least
one reason...

Just a small addition to this. It's really nice to be able to see the status
updates, but for me, as a colorblind person, the 1st, 3rd and 5th image are
(almost) the same, especially when they're small. Is it possible to make the
icon show what's it's doing instead of just being a different color?

(And I'm sorry to comment on such an old issue ;))
