The rating should be clarified because literal translation does not give us enough information
For example: 1/ "few additives", "organic certifications" are mostly for commercial enterprises... 2/ "circular economy" do we really have this term in belarusian language.. 3/ "entire value chain" what does it mean? 4/ "further development" what is this? 5/ "in consideration of all consumer budgets" here how to explain for NGOs to? 6/ "retail-chains publicly comprehensible" is the term for activists or for specialist in commerce(trade)?
So, these uncertainties somehow needs to be rephrased or changed
I Improved the rating description here: https://blog.vonmorgen.org/en/the-positive-factors/
Planet:
Diversity: Ecological diversity, organic certifications, few chemical additives etc.
Renewability: Environmental protection, short transport routes, efficient/ low use of resources and energy, circular economy etc.
People:
Fairness: Safe, inclusive, fair and appropriate working conditions throughout the entire value chain.
Humanity: Do all participants have room for their own ideas, further development and cultural diversity? Are there rights to participate and democratic processes?
Solidarity instead of profit:
Solidarity: Cooperative working, sustainable and ethical financing and investments, in consideration of all consumer budgets, etc.
Transparency: Are production, financing and retail-chains publicly comprehensible?
1/ Yes, certificates and the question of healthy food is mainly for comercially produced things. 2/ circular economy" is a very new concept also in Germany. It says, that things are produced in a way, that they will never end in rubbish, but will alway be able to be upcycled. 3/ The "Value chain" is the supply chain where the value is created. It means, that this fairness-questions does not only regard the place, at the map, but also their suppliers. 4/ I chainged "further Development" in "personal development" 5/ No, if an NGO does not sell anything, it is not relevant. 6/ "retail-chains" are mainly for comercial things but also for NGOs. It regards the question, where the money comes from and if an organizations makes it transparent. I.E. if Falanster would fight for open source but 100% financed by Microsoft, it would not really sound very trustful...
We should have a discussion on these impact ratings at the hackathon.
