When looking at alignments in the new pattern panel, one can check for which languages we have multiple words and if they are problematic. The recommendation is now to restrict the selection to one candidate, which is the comparative candidate, while we can have multiple members of the same word family.
The problem is, however, that it is tedious to do this manually, e.g., when using two ID sets. So the toggling should be ideally done automatically. My current solution is to use a ? in front of integers to flag them as not being used in Alignments and also in Patterns.
