Hello @Cyberjl
This bug may have something to do with it see http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=2794217
if you go into the firefox options and click web developer and then web console and then try right click on the addon and see what the output says. Post it here.
I do not have a mac on hand to test the issue directly but I can get to one but that version is 10.6 as far as I know. It may take some time however. The last time I test the addon on it, it ran fine with no issues.
In the meantime have you tried it on a fresh firefox profile https://support.mozilla.org/ga-IE/kb/profile-manager-create-and-remove-firefox-profiles
if you still wish to use the addon while I am trying to resolve the issue you can set
extensions.agentSpoof.enabled
to true
in about:config
and restart the browser
I have received a report of this happening on Windows 7 SP1 (x64) using Waterfox 26.0
One workaround might be to include an option to enable the addon in the extras tab
Thank you.
I got it turned on by using an alternate right hand click on my mac OSX 10.9.
Thanks again.
James

Glad to hear you got it working James.
Have you experienced the problem on earlier versions of firefox on OSX or earlier versions of OSX , if you have previously tried it ?
I have just started to use your random agent spoofer. I like it. Would it be possible to spoof the ISP info as well? I use a VPN, but often disables it to get back throughput.
Thank you.

@Cyberjl Thanks. I'm glad you like it. I can't spoof the IP address and it is beyond the aims of this addon. The functionality is possible but it would require having a list of various servers located all over the world. The closest thing I can think of is https://torproject.org.
"I got it turned on by using an alternate right hand click on my mac OSX 10.9" is this the standard behaviour on mac's for right clicking ? is this the standard behaviour for right clicking on your mac ?
It has been a while I since I used one and will be some time before I will get a chance to test on one again.
Ok, thanks. To answer your original question, the right hand mouse click works on the mac. But for some reason, I had to hold down the control button while doing the right hand mouse click to activate the random agent spoofer.

I have tested waterfox 26 on windows 7 64 bit as reported by another user and I have been unable to reproduce this issue . The right click worked as expected.
@Cyberjl Ok, thank you that information is very helpful. It will be sometime before I can test it on a mac in person but I will update this post when I know more and I will add a checkbox to enable/disable the addon in the extras tab too in the next release.
Tested addon version 0.6 on OSX 10.8.5 and the right hand click works as expected. I will see if I can a find a 10.9 machine to test it on.
Rechecked in on 10.9. It works. When I right hand clicked, the icon lighted up. Unlike on Windows, the message is on the top and not at the bottom. I should have looked closer when I first tested it. But I am quite sure the icon did not light up then.
Again, thanks.

@Cyberjl That is good to hear. In that case I will close this issue for now as I have not been able to reproduce it in any of the reported cases with multiple tests on different machines and it seems to be working as intended . If it happens again feel free to reopen the issue.
The messages are displayed on the top also on linux . The positioning is defined by the OS's notification library.
MAC 10.9 Firefox 26.0. I can't enable it by right clicking it. It will only bring up the menu to select profile. It works fine on my windows laptop. Thanks.
