In the assumptions section

Security: Communication between Sender / Receiver and Provisioning Partner SHOULD be trusted.

Do we consider SMS to be trusted? If so, what is the definition of trust that we're working with?

re-reading, I'm assuming this is saying that the transport between the Provisioning Partner and the Sender and between the Provisioning Partner and the Receiver is trusted, but isn't commenting on the messaging channel between the Sender and Receiver, which answers my question
