Open apevec opened 5 years ago
@apevec i'd be happy if anyone wants to do this!
@apevec @dims any update about this ?
@goldyfruit i am happy to let anyone who wants to drive this to move the repo. Haven't heard back from @apevec
I refreshed this topic in http://lists.openstack.org/pipermail/openstack-discuss/2020-August/016457.html
Please let me know if you are still willing to move this project to the OpenStack's ecosystem. I imagine etcd3gw would benefit from common testing (more details in mail).
Hi @dims - your last statement was more than a year ago and people change minds so I would like to clarify whether you are still interested in allowing this move. I can arrange this to happen. Oslo's PTL seems happy about taking ownership.
@yoctozepto i haven't changed my mind :) last statement above is still good.
Thanks, @dims. I got pretty busy early this week but will start making this happen later this week.
@dims - there is one thing that is required of you to do: "Give OpenDev Permission to Publish Releases" - https://docs.opendev.org/opendev/infra-manual/latest/creators.html#give-opendev-permission-to-publish-releases
@yoctozepto It is done!
Thanks @dims, I issued the following: https://review.opendev.org/747185 https://review.opendev.org/747188 Now we wait. :-)
Thanks for taking care of this @yoctozepto . will make this repo read-only once those land.
Thanks @dims for being open to the proposal.
Yup, the original repo should go read-only and we should get some redirects to the new place. I'll do the same on my fork to minimise confusion.
As for the issues, I think we need a new place on launchpad as that's where Oslo is.
Launchpad place: https://launchpad.net/python-etcd3gw
New homepage: https://opendev.org/openstack/etcd3gw
Could use linking to that from pypi as well and drop github stats. @dims
@yoctozepto looks like the description is not editable by me on pypi. it seems to have picked stuff up from https://opendev.org/openstack/etcd3gw/src/branch/master/setup.cfg So please update that and the next release would update everything that you need in pypi.org page.
Hi @dims
not sure if this was discussed, would it make sense to move this project to opendev aka openstack hosting infra ?
