I did not have any issue with sleep after 1.5.2, but it currently will not
start after a default install either for me when machine is powered on or
restarted. One fix for the start/restart is to add it to the programs that runs
when your machine boots for your account (steps to do below).
1) Open System Preferences
2) Click the Accounts Icon, in the grouping labeled 'System'
3) Click the 'Login Items' button
4) Click the '+' button
5) Browse thought the file system to find the Soundflowerbed application,
select it, then click add

I didn't see this and posted a new comment -- however for me adding
SoundflowerBed to startup apps does not work -- program disappears from list on
wake from sleep.

Same for me. Soundflowerbed launches and then suddenly quits. Snow Leopard
10.6.8.

OK, after reading post about sampling rates contributing to issue, I set my
M-Audio FW-410 piece to sample at 44.1Khz. It was at 48Khz. Seems to have fixed
the problem for now!

Re Comment 3: I have the same OS and problem (which occurs after a while,
randomly). Awaking from sleep (Comment 2) seems to be generally disturbing to
sound programs - when I had a problem with Bias Peak (which turned out to be a
different one in fact) I was advised more than once to turn off the sleep
function. What I have to add though is that when Soundflowerbed crashes, it
brings down one or more of my external Firewire drives with it. Since I don't
like fiddling with hot FW connections, I usually restart to get them back. But
I often find that I did not really need to have them running all the time
anyway.

I have the same problem - when I come back from sleep, Soundflowerbed is dead.
Soundflowerbed v1.6.2, Snow Leopard 10.6.8. So the problem still persists. I
will try the 44.1kHz route.

Same problem for me. Disconnect or reconnect my firewire device(KORG ZERO8)
silently crashs Soundflowerbed v1.6.6, OSX 10.8.3. I've tried with fix sampling
rate to 44.1kHz, but no luck for me.

Same here. MacMini connected to a TV through HDMI using optical out as sound
device.

I downloaded Soundflower again and that seemed to take care of the issue....
Soundflower stayed on...But then when I tried to chang the setting to Built-in
Output, the icon disappeared again and still no sound.
