Story: designing a chair #2

Open jurra opened 2 years ago

jurra commented 2 years ago

As a designer defining dimensional specifications for a chair, I want to quickly produce specifications considering a specific dataset of population to generate a model efficiently.

This shouldnt take me more than 5 minutes if I know the percentiles I want to target for each dimension.

Hello @toonhuysmans I am looking to reproduce a chair design use case, but I dont know which csvs to use, what names of columns, etc. I looked into Dineds UI and try to get the column names from the dimensions listed next to the person figure, but I dont know which dataset is the one I should use.

Hi @jurra mabe this might help: https://youtu.be/kmJpvRmiLLk?t=1433 (just a few minutes from that starting point)

You could use data from here: https://dined-d.io.tudelft.nl/ceasear/Measurements/ Alternatively it would be possible to approach the dined database via the API. (I should come up with examples)

The notebook for chair design has been added. When we add a dined version of this notebook we can close the issue.

A "dined" version of this was added by simply using the standardized data
