Hello,
I am guessing you tried the 2.10 and 2.11 release versions on Windows XP and they don't work. I built those probably with Windows 7. These days if I made another I would use the only Windows I have: Windows 10.
I am interested in working on the epub-tools project some more. I have some questions about your situation:
How important is it that you continue to use this WinXP machine? As I'm sure you know, it's very very old and will be a problem when it does/stops working. The best case is to use a newer computer and operating system.
Do you need to do the book name creation on your end at all? I have considered the possibility of a book renaming web service that only requires a minimal script on the client side to send the small amount of metadata up to our servers.
Is this an ongoing need as in for a retail book-selling store? How many books do you need to rename per month or per week?
Another possibility is to hire us as a book renaming service and send the book files to our company for adjustment.
Regards,
Dino

v. 2.8 is working. Can't find v. 2.9 and 2.10 binary to test. Can you share it?
I do have a Windows build of 2.11:

I did try the last version, and it doesn't run on XP, that why i have asked for old version. The last bin version for downloading which i found is 2.8, so i wanted to try 2.9 and 2.10 also.
Where is this at? Do you still need to try an older build for Windows XP and prior to 2.11? I might be able to help you set up to build on your machine. As in, advise on what software to install and what to do to have that XP machine build its own binaries.
Any need for this still?
