Description: Allow direct LAN connections for Drive syncing
Modification Area: This could be transparent, but will ideally include some sort of "local share phrase" that enables peers on a local network to discover each other only if they also have the same share phrase. The share phrase in combination with other elements (e.g. SSID) could be used to hash share info made available via broadcast so that there is absolutely limited contextual data leak.
Why: Keeping a family or office's data sync'd sometimes requires many GB of syncs and incurs bandwidth usage. It would be faster and less Internet BW intensive to do local syncs. Realizing, of course, this is a major feature development.
