Blue background on names #85

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Login
2. Put the mouse on some contact
3. A blue background appear showing user name, statues, etc
4. this shows rmamnk at hotmail dot com (rmamnk at hotmail dot com)
5. For statues writen in a language other than English it will 
write ????...

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

Any alphabet other than English
