Can not get the "Unlock Dialog" to appear by pressing "Click here" or any other key #57

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Simply let the lock timeout lock the screen
2.
3.

What is the expected output?
When I press enter or "click here" in the firefox screen I expect the "Unlock
Dialog" to appear.

What do you see instead?
Nothing happens. I can not get the dialog to appear. I have to kill Firefox and
restart
I have found a work around. If I press "CTRL L" a new window pops up (still
locked. I can then get the unlock dialog to pop up, type the password, get
access, and then delete the new window that popped up (it was the open window
or file dialog)

What Master Password+ version?
1.21.2

On what Firefox/Thunderbird version?
20.0.1

On what operating system?
Windows 7

Please provide any additional information below.

I've been experiencing the same thing myself, but only on computers that run
Firefox non-stop for several days.

Whatever causing this issue does stop MP+ from using any hotkeys. The lock
timeout is just coincidence it's not the cause.

Please help me narrow it down by answering the following:
What your lock timeout is set to?
Does this happen right after window locked? if not, how long do you think it
stays locked before you attempting to unlock it?

P.S.
On my "main" browser after few days of not restarting it I've been getting
weird error messages in error console whenever I move cursor, perhaps it's
related..

My problem has stopped since I updated to Firefox V21, I was coming back to the
support site to close the bug. That said here are the things you asked for

1800 seconds (30 mins) (though a weird problem I noted was that SOMETIMES if I
hovered over the status bar MP icon the timer would not necessarily reset to 30
mins, even when I selected links, moved tabs, closed tabs etc.) That behavior
has also stopped.

The above comment would sometimes mean I was typing or scrolling and the MP
would lock Firefox. I would immediately try to unlock and have to go through
the rigmarole I described in the original post. So the answer to your second
question is right after it locked. {Also note I do not have auto-logout enabled)

Hope that helps. My recommendation is to upgrade to V21 :-)

Nope, the problem still exist. So far I was unsuccessful in determine what
causing it.

It seems this not related to MP+ itself, because just now all other hotkeys
stopped working as well, including CTRL+N
This means MP+ would not receive notifications when cursor moved or a key
pressed and would not reset timer, locking the browser.
MP+ window lock is not causing it either, because same situation on browser
that doesn't have auto-lock.

Again, it's hard to trace it down, because in my case it occur only after 3-4
days of not restarting Firefox...

I have been using master password for several months, but today started with
this problem. I have started firefox few minutes before (no long running
firefox instance).

I hope it helps.

Thanks a lot.

OS: Windows 7 Enterprise 64 bits
Firefox: 34.0.5

Also seems MP is not getting browser activity correctly, as it locks the
session, no matter the browser has been idle or not.

Hope it helps.

I suspect there is some kind of garbage collection issue in browser itself,
when it clears memory at some point which removes modules(services) from memory.

Same issue here with TB 38.1. I think this started happening after last update
(but I am no entirely sure).

I also noticed there is a weird white stripe across the locked screen when it
is not responsive - which is missing when unlocking works fine - e.g. after
Ctrl+Shft+B (Open Address Book in a new window). Could it be some kind of UI
coordinate recalculation going wrong? Making the white stripe appear in the
middle of the screen instead of the edges and failing to register the mouse
clicks in the area. Without really knowing how the implementation behind looks
like...

Regards,

I have a slightly different issue. The unlock dialog does appear but I am not
able to enter my password because it will not stay in the foreground. I tried
to uninstall but it requires that i enter the password to do so, but for the
same reason stated above, I cannot do that
