With the merging of #153, I think we might be ready to flip the switch and make the repository public. Any objections? @darcey @kennethsible

I renamed the repository to the shorter name fggs
and made it public. I also added protection rules on the main branch (which is only enabled for public repositories) so pushing to main requires a pull request that passes the tests.
Thinking ahead to some point in the (near?) future when we make this repository public, do you prefer to
