plugin does not work with -f option #102

When maven is invoked on a pom which does not reside in the current directory 
(mvn -f), the plugin fails, complaining 
" File ./pom.xml does not exist". 

When the plugin is invoked on the same pom.xml, but without the -f option, the 
substitution is performed.

This was observed with version 1.5.2.
