If unable to be handled automatically, an idea for enhancement could be to provide the user with a prewritten email template, filled in with their site details which could be either copied and pasted as plain text, or a mailto:
URI that they could click that would also contain the templated text with the variables filled in, URL encoded.
Plain Text template filled in with the site details:
Hello,
Could you please assist me by creating an additional feeder site on my account and then provide me with the API key.
The account is under the email address: user@example.com
The street address is: 123 Anystreet, Beverly Hills, CA, 90210
The antenna latitude is: 35.654321
the antenna longitude is: -111.987654
the antenna height from mean sea level is: 300m
Thank you in advance for your assistance!

I believe there is an error in my URI, but still I hope it's enough to help convey the idea I'm proposing.
I agree that this would work - I'm not sure it's the right thing to do, so. I don't know why the signup fails - and given people a form email to send when it fails for some other reason is actually counterproductive. I will, however, need to add some tooltip or something along those lines. I'll think about how this could look.
This isn't as... "proactive" as what you asked for, but I think it's a reasonable compromise.
FR24 auto key request silently fails for existing FR24 accounts with 3 or more feeders already on the account. To get an additional key, FR24 staff request you email them with the details of the site, and they'll manually create it for you on your account and respond by email with the new API key.
