• Show them web development if interested
• Let them contribute "their" feature and make thousands happier
• show them agile "rails" development and testing
• let them feel open source with direct visible impact
• let them experiment with UIs/UX with thousands if people they might even now

Business:

• evaluate features and compare them to put the best widgets in spotlight
• design a business model around the idea of personalized company-related information "at a glance"
• pitch your ideas and test drive them
• derive an employee information system for the UPB (staff.upb.de) or another enterprise

Engineering/

• build cool stuff around open protocols
• integrate location and context aware information

• finally build and test drive all the crazy electronic devices you've always wanted to build or try.

Cool Design for iPhone app / Webapp Android Widget for Android App

Maybe windows tile for start screen.

And maybe even push notifications (extra app, just some gems, Facebook parse and an auth adapter)
