Ooops...Something went wrong error after login #122

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
Finally a way to report my problem, my e-mails to the two e-mails I found
listed on the main page got bounced back to me.

Anywho, once I've logged in I just this error:

Ooops...
Something went wrong. Try to restart the application and check your internet
connection. If you keep having this issue report a bug at [the main app website
url].

I've now tried the app in two places, with the same result in both. At home I'm
on the home wifi, which works great on the phone for everything else I've done
so far.

Hope there's something you can tell me that will fix the problem.

- Update to the newer version in de market.
- Go to settings -> applications -> manage applications -> MyEpisodes Manager
-> clear data.
- Start program and log in again.

If the problem still excists I need some extra account details to find the
problem.

Tried that and same thing. Though I'd forgotten about something, the fact that
I can't actually download the app from the android market on my phone. it only
shows up in the market online at market.android.com. Since it's not blocked
there like a few other apps like Pandora (due to me not being in the US) I was
sure it didn't matter which location I got it from.

I think I find the bug, please try the new beta on
http://code.google.com/p/my-episodes-watch-manager/downloads/detail?name=MyEpiso
des_1.8.0_beta1.apk

Sorry for all the loading dialogs (when switching watch / acquire), working on
it ;)

OK now the application main screen appears without that message popping up.
Watch and Acquire both have (0) behind them (which they should not I'm sure),
and when I click them the same old error appears. For Coming only the error
message appears, no (0) behind that. Manage Shows works in that I can see
Favourite Shows from the site as well as Ignored, and on that page I can add
new shows to my favourites, and on the Favourite Shows and Ignored Shows pages
I can Ignore/unignore or delete show from the list (don't know if those pages
should do more). The More icon does nothing. I can edit my preferences.

Thanks for testing. Everything works except getting the lists (more has no
action / manage are the options you descript). I need some more information to
find this bug.

- Download 'alogcat' from market or here:
http://code.google.com/p/alogcat/downloads/list
- Open alogcat > Press menu > Clear
- Open MyEpisodes and open the Watch tab (where error appears)
- Open alogcat > press menu > share > email to me ( ivoniftrik at gmail.com )

Thnx!

Ivo, do you think we can do an emergency release (1.7.3) with this solution
without breaking everything else?

Maria,

you can uninstall the application you currently have ('cause it's a beta and so
not guaranteed to be stable) and install the MyEpisodes Manager from the market
again. I just released update 1.7.3 with the bugfix for your problem!
