Suggestions by Fredrik - Look into all those suggestions #35

Beneath are all the suggestions Fredrik Nohrborg made. Look into this and
comment why to implement or why not to implement those things.

Please realize that the suggestions below is only based on my own use case
- and that I'm sure other user would prefer some other layout.

My use case then is the following:

I have used myepisodes.com for quite some time, and manage all my TV-show
"organization" from there. I have about 20 TV-shows on the active list.
Some shows I watch fairly regularly (in other words, there are only a few
episodes marked as "un-watched). Other shows I'll not watch until I have
the entire season (many episodes un-watched). My total list of unwatched
episodes is presently over 100 episodes. I always watch the episodes in
sequence (that is I will not watch episode 9 before I have watched episode
8), which means that in 99% of cases, my primary interaction with the
program, will be to mark the first (oldest) episode as watched.

With that in mind, here is what I would suggest:

The primary menu shows a list of the shows on the myepisodes.com active
list.
There should be only one item per show, to keep the primary menu clean.
Each item in the list should display the following information: Show
Name/First Un-Watched episode #/Air date of episode.
i.e. "Lost - S06E05 - 2010-02-23"
Sorting the list alphabetically or by first unwatched episode date.
Possibly I would love to mark some shows as Favorites - and having an
option "Show all Shows" / "Show Favorites"
Pressing an item in the primary list (show) would give me the following
options:
"Display Episode list": - Displays all unwatched episodes of the relevant
show.
"Mark first episode as seen" - to set status "Watched" for first unwatched
episode.
In the Episode List, a list of all un-watched episodes for that show is
displayed (duh) :)
The Episode List could have check boxes for quickly marking several
episodes as watched.

Oh. New suggestion. Sort order for the shows, are apparently in oldest
unwatched episode -> newest (same as myepisodes.com). To me that doesn't
make much sense, and if at all possible, I would like to be able to choose
to sort the shows alphabetically instead.

Much of this is obsolete as of the grouping in 1.4. If you want me to, I can
clean
this up and log whats left as separate issues. That way the suggestions can be
accepted/rejected on an individual basis.

Fredrik,

you can do this. Assign them all to me, using the label 'Suggestion' beneath of
the
comment text area.

Dirk,

I logged what remained from this issue, as suggestions under 37/38. This issue
can be
closed w/out action.

However I don't have the authority to assign or tag issues, so you need to do
the
markup yourself.
